Sexaholics Anonymous today.
With the rise of pornography and sexuality in the media sex addiction is becoming one of the most rapidly rising addictions in our society today. Not only does it do harm to the addict themselves, but it is also tearing apart families and is leaving many people from knowing the value of a true relationship and intimacy with another. Driving them to escape into a world of fantasy and self-fulfilment.
Sex addiction can also be a result of childhood trauma and sexual abuse leaving people feeling unworthy. alone and afraid. Whatever the cause sex addiction is a shared problem.
As with all addicts, sex addiction is progressive, and the addict is led to break boundaries that they never thought they would, disregarding their own personal safety and that of their families. This leads to health problems, loss of employment, breakdown of relaonships and divorce and in some cases legal problems and incarceration. To a sex addict, or sexaholic, lust has become the drug as alcohol is to the alcoholic.
Sexaholics Anonymous recognises this problem and offers a programme based on the twelve steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. It is a spiritual programme designed to assist those who come to us seeking a solution.
We are a rapidly growing fellowship of people from all levels of society who are joined together to seek a solution to our own problem and also to help others to recover.

Recovery in S-Anon
S-Anon is a fellowship of people who share their experience strength and hope with each other so that they may solve their common problems in dealing with the sexaholism of a friend or loved one, and help others to recover. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of sexaholism in a relative or friend. There are no dues or fees; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.
S-Anon recognises that the rising problem of sexaholism not only affects the addict but family and friends. Without spiritual help living with, or having lived with a sexaholic is too much for most of us. S- Anon offers a spiritual programme of recovery based on the twelve steps of AA and Al-Anon.
We are a growing fellowship which originated in the USA and now well established across the UK and Ireland. We offer a number of on- line Zoom meetings, as well as in-person meetings in some limited locations. Meetings are chaired and led by volunteers and usually last one hour. Individuals share about their problems and how they have solved them using the programme tools and shared experience of others.

The SA Purpose
Sexaholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover. SA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
Our primary purpose is to stay sexually sober and help others to achieve sexual sobriety.
Sexaholics Anonymous is a recovery program based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and received permission from AA to use its Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions in 1979.
